(क)हालदार साहब पहले मायूस इसलिए हो गए थे क्योंकि कस्बे के चौराहे पर बोस की प्रतिमा तो होगी पर उनकी आंखों पर चश्मा लगा नहीं मिलेगा क्योंकि चश्मा लगाने वाला कैप्टन तो मर चुका है और अब वह देश प्रेम की भावना किसी में नहीं है। (ख) मूर्ति पर सरकंडे का चश्मा यह दर्शाता है कि अभी लोगों में देश प्रेम की भावना जागृत है।
हालदार साहब कस्बे में क्यों रखते थे?उत्तर- हालदार साहब का चौराहे पर रुकना और नेताजी की मूर्ति को निहारना दर्शाता है कि उनके दिल में भी देशप्रेम का जज्बा प्रबल था और वो अपने देश के स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों का दिल से सम्मान करते थे। उन्हें नेताजी की मूर्ति पर चश्मा देखना अच्छा लगता था। ...
