पहली संख्या = 4 + x

दूसरी संख्या = 8 + x

तीसरी संख्या = 12 + x

चौथी संख्या = 22 + x

समानुपात में 

⇒ (4 + x)/(8 + x) = (12 + x)/(22 + x)

उपरोक्त समीकरण को हल करने पर,

⇒ (4 + x)(22 + x) = (12 + x)(8 + x)

⇒ 88 + 26x + x 2 = 96 + 20x + x 2

⇒ 6x = 8

⇒ x = 4/3

∴ x = 4/3
