जब हम चक्रवृद्धि ब्याज पर गणना करते हैं,
धनराशि (A) = p (1 + r/100)n
जहाँ p, r और n क्रमशः मूलधन, ब्याज की दर और समय हैं।
गणना:
माना मूलधन P है।
प्रश्नानुसार,
2400 = P (1 + r/100) -----(i)
3000 = P (1 + r/100)2 ----(ii)
अब समीकरण (ii) को (i) से विभाजित करने पर हमें प्राप्त होता है,
3000\2400 = {P (1 + r/100)2} / {P (1 + r/100)}
⇒ 5/4 = (1 + r/100) ---- (iii)
समीकरण (iii) का मान (i) में रखते हैं,
